blue huck lace table runner c

This design was inspired by a textile trip to Peru. Each Andean village we visited had unique weaving techniques and styles of dress. I marveled at their patterns which reflect their life, environment and history: rivers, lakes, potato flowers, llamas and condors to name but a few. This had me pondering my own weaving heritage, so I borrowed ideas about combining solid stripes and patterned sections from Peru, and chose a western weave structure -- huck lace -- for the pattern sections.
